Apple Crisp

A perfect dessert for a fall day! It’s not super sweet, but we loved it as our treat!

Ingredients:

Apple Crisp
  • 5 large apples, peeled and sliced thin

  • 2t lemon juice

  • 1 t cinnamon

  • 1/4 t ginger

  • 1/4 t allspice

  • 1/4 t cardamom

  • 1/4 t nutmeg

  • For the top:

  • 1.5 cup granola

  • 3/4 cup almond flour

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 3T maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar

  • 1 t vanilla extract

  • 1 T cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Mix together apples, lemon juice, and spices in a bowl. Pour into greased glass pie baking dish. In a bowl, mix all topping ingredients. Pour over apples. Bake 40 minutes or until apples are soft. Serve with vanilla ice cream!
